Just for Fun - Video: Hair Styles Through the Ages

Hair Dress Through the Ages is a tongue-in-cheek video about historic hair styles that makes the point about how silly trying to be trendy can be. Incredibly, it is distributed by the State of Georgia, Department of Education. Citizens’ tax dollars, hard at work. We bring it to you just for laughs, of course. :>)

Cathleen Rittereiser’s Good Hair Days Diary

On March 9th, Pro 10 Ambassador Stylist Miho added extensions made with Ultima Protein Hair to Cathleen Rittereiser’s hair. Ultima Protein Hair made with natural collagen, looks, feels like and has the best qualities of human hair.

Sure her extensions looked great the day they were done, but how are they holding up for Cathleen as she washes them, works out, and lives her busy life?

“I’m enjoying the change…and having fun with it,” she says. Here are some photos she posted on her Facebook page.

Japanese Survey: Forget Hemlines! Women’s Hair Length is Economic Indicator

long_hair_short.png
Japan’s leading business daily, says women’s hair length is a reliable predictor of Japan’s economic health, says Wigomania.

In a recent report, the paper reported stats to show that Japanese women start wearing their hair short when the economy is worsening and let it grow longer when times are getting better. The data comes from an annual survey of 1,000 women in their 20s, in Tokyo and Osaka.. More »

Cathleen Rittereiser: “Now I Won’t Have Bad Hair Days!”

Cathleen Rittereiser before and after extensionsCathleen Rittereiser, who works on Wall Street by day, is also a comic, writer, raconteur, and book author. And, like a lot of us, as she showed us in this video, she’s not always happy with her hair.

So Ultimahair offered Cathleen the opportunity to have Pro 10 Ambassador Stylist Miho put Pro 10 Hair Extensions made with Ultima in her hair. You can see the before, during and after photos on Flickr. And we’ll soon have a video showing how Miho did this beautiful extension work.

When she saw her long, curly hair, Cathleen said “Wow! My own hair would never do this! Now I won’t have bad hair days.”

Hair Extensions for Kids? Keisha Burton Says Yesssss!

Keisha beforeThis beautiful young lady is Keisha Burton before she got hair extensions.

Keisha’s 11 years old and she’s been wearing extensions for a couple of years because she’s such a busy bee she doesn’t have time to worry about her hair.

Keisha extensionsThe second photo is Keisha with her hair extensions. She participates in a different sport every season, and also loves to swim. So there’s little time in her busy life to care for her own hair so it’ll look the way she likes.

Her mom, Cheryl Burton, says Keisha gets hair extensions done every two to three months because “There is no way there would be time in our lives to do her hair after every shower and with the extensions we do nothing. We don’t even brush them. They’re very easy to care for.” More »

Hair Extensions for Men? You Bet!

Brad Pitt
We’re not saying Brad Pitt has hair extensions, although it wouldn’t be a surprise to find out he did. Pitt has had highlights, and he’s certainly experimented with a wide range of hairstyles.

As the trend toward longer hair for men grows (pun intended) - think Orlando Bloom, Johnny Depp and Owen Wilson - you can expect to see more celebrities and a lot of regular guys turning to hair extensions. The only requirement: 8-10 cm (3-4 inches) of your own hair as a base. The trend in long hair for men is hair past the ears, and even past the shoulders, with long layers for fullness. And the fastest way to get there is with hair extensions.

You can learn all about hair extensions on the Ultimahair website’s FAQs.

Hairems - Hair Accessories, Literally

Hairems
Want to decorate your hair extensions? Try Hairems! They’re a unisex collection of hair accessories- made of hair, but not necessarily worn in the hair. The 8-piece collection includes “hairrings”, a 2 inch section of synthetic or human hair worn as earrings, the “Hair wrap” which offers a similar aesthetic without the commitment of dying or piercing, and the “braided band” which sits across the forehead with a double diamond-cut gold ball chain draped in front or back depending on wearer’s preference.

The collection offers eight styles available in platinum blond, black, and brown. “Hairem” prices range from $115.00 to $250.00 depending on varied style and/or synthetic vs. natural hair.
