Hair Extensions for Kids? Keisha Burton Says Yesssss!

Keisha beforeThis beautiful young lady is Keisha Burton before she got hair extensions.

Keisha’s 11 years old and she’s been wearing extensions for a couple of years because she’s such a busy bee she doesn’t have time to worry about her hair.

Keisha extensionsThe second photo is Keisha with her hair extensions. She participates in a different sport every season, and also loves to swim. So there’s little time in her busy life to care for her own hair so it’ll look the way she likes.

Her mom, Cheryl Burton, says Keisha gets hair extensions done every two to three months because “There is no way there would be time in our lives to do her hair after every shower and with the extensions we do nothing. We don’t even brush them. They’re very easy to care for.”

There are eight children in the Burton household, six of whom are adopted or fostered, so you can bet that time is a luxury in short supply.

Keisha, who says she enjoys her extensions, is pretty sure she’s the only one in her school with extensions. Her extensions look and feel like real hair. But she can swim, play sports, and wash and wear her extensions without worrying about tangling.
