If there’s one thing that doesn’t discriminate across race, class, age or geographic lines, it’s frizzy hair. Now, thanks to WowOWow.com the website we can check Hair Day Weather in our own zipcodes to see if it’ll be a good or a bad hair day.
WowOWow is a free daily Internet website created, run and written by well-known women journalists, writers, businesswomen, film and television personalities including Lesley Stahl, Peggy Noonan, Liz Smith, Whoopi Goldberg, Julia Reed, Candice Bergen, Lily Tomlin, and Marlo Thomas.
You can join the conversation on a wide range of topics that affect women’s lives. And you can get your horoscope too. :>) Because, as journalist Lesley Stahl says “When we go a long time without this kind of female conversation we feel deprived. And when we do sit and talk, we feel better.”

Question: I’ve seen many posts in forums, and read on websites that removing hair extensions that have been secured with any type of adhesive will damage my natural hair, and may even cause pain. I’ve also read that any fusion method - from Great Lengths Keratin Polymer bonds that cost $1200 to $5000 depending on where you live, to fusion, sonic fusion, or just plain adhesive glue - can damage my hair and can take many hours to remove. Is that true?
Answer: Pro 10 Ambassador Stylist, O’kela Neveaux owner of Extended Beauty Salon and Boutique in Oak Park, MI: With any hair extensions, your experience will be as good as the licensed stylist who applies them, the products used, and how well you maintain your extensions while they’re in your hair. Easy care tips for Pro 10 Hair Extensions made with Ultima Protein hair are here.
Removing bonded hair extensions can be a messy job and time-consuming job. There are several different ways to remove them, and how extensions are removed depends on the adhesive used to attach them. Some bonds may be hard and dry while others may be moist and mushy. How that person maintained them throughout their wear usually determines that result and a stulist has to use her judgment to detemine the best product or tool to use to take them out. Some bonds should be treated with something to dry them crisp to crack them off. Or, the stylist can apply something like acetone so they loosen up and nearly slide off.
While metal tipped extensions applied with crimps or coils are easy to remove, I prefer keratin-tipped extensions because the bonds are consistent, small and uniform and have a more natural feel and movement then metal pieces.
Here’s a demo video from Your Hair Shop that shows how easily keratin tipped extensions can be removed when the stylist is skilled.
